"I'm home~" Seungwan happily announced as she entered the dorm. The energy she got from the fun-filled last fan call event and an IG live comeback continuously made her ecstatic throughout the night. However, this energy was making her oblivious of the darkening aura slowly wrapping the whole place she just entered. The silent welcome from the last 2 remaining members she shared the dorm with was shrugged off and unsuspiciously went straight to the kitchen to prepare her meal for the night. After all, Joohyun and Sooyoung were all booked and busy with their own 'secret' schedules.
Speaking of Joohyun, Seungwan's feeling the chills now when she finally realized that she hasn't received any message from her the entire time and that's the time when fear came over her. She stopped whatever she was setting on her plate and search for her phone on whichever pocket she put it in that she forgotten due to current panic.
"Oh, there you are!" Seungwan said when she noticed her phone on the table that was in front of her while she stupidly rummage her clothes' pockets for that god damn phone. "What have I been doing?" She said to herself as she claimed her phone, embarrassed with her own actions.
The embarrassment was quickly replaced by heart stopping moment when Joohyun spoke. She didn't realize that her girlfriend already entered the kitchen with her.
"I've been thinking the same thing but I can't find an answer either." Joohyun said as she went straight to the fridge and took a bottle of water to drink. Seungwan has great tolerance towards a cold weather but she was never with Joohyun's cold treatment. By this time, Joohyun should have welcomed her with a warm hug and non stop kisses but water was more important to her now. Yes, Like Water, Joohyun loved every songs on the album, talked everyday how much she loved her voice and even every petals on her limited edition. But now, the literal water was her now first choice. For the first time, Seungwan cursed the water... mentally.
How could she even speak, Seungwan was now like a poor looking puppy trembling in a cold rain. And what's worst with it, Joohyun was staring down at her as she drinks. Looking back at her, she finally remembered what she had done throughout the day, no, the entire solo activities so vividly like it's giving her reasons to run for her life while she can. But Seungwan didn't run away, she just looked away instead. Being in a relationship with Joohyun, Seungwan already knew what's best and that's to surrender peacefully, never make reasons when you're guilty and beg for forgiveness for whatever that made Joohyun jealous, no matter how small it was. Heck, Joohyun literally got jealous when she got pecked by a small baby on her lips.
"H-how's the w-water?" Seungwan tried to downplay Joohyun's jealousy but she failed badly.
"Mmm.. it tastes like water." She said nonchalantly and Seungwan found that comment obvious but somehow that response feels oddly familiar too. She can't point it out though, when all she could ever think of was her life and when that life was Joohyun who's mad at her right now.
"I thought you and Sooyoung were out. You guys didn't make a sound when I got home." Seungwan said as she tried to act normal and continue preparing her meal while she sweat coldly and wait for some inevitable explosion.
Seungwan's heart paced up five times now in nervousness when she heard her girlfriend scoffed.
"Why do you want me out so badly? Is it because I'm already replaced?"
"W-what are you talking about?" Seungwan quickly retorted but she's having the idea of where Joohyun was coming from that resulted to her stuttering.
"I heard you got lots of wives now. Living up to your character, Shonlomon?"
Joohyun may appear calm but her words are piercing and it's the scariest version of a jealous Joohyun that Seungwan fears the most.
"B-but that's just role playing, Joohyun! And nope, that's not what Shonlomon concept is supposed to mean! I-"
"So what's my role to you then, Shonlomon?" Joohyun asked and approached the counter next to a nervous Seungwan to help her in preparing her meal.
"W-what?"
Seungwan was getting pale, where was the energy she's feeling earlier? She's in danger and she knows Joohyun was nowhere done yet despite helping her out with her meal. She has to keep up with her jealous beast because it's her punishment. It's this time again wherein she's questioning her existence on why was she even born greasy by nature.
"Y-you're my real wife and it's not role playing because my heart, my soul, my whole being is only yours and yours alone! On and off cam!" Seungwan explained almost losing her breathe. She was giving her all, the determination to make her real feelings come across towards her girlfriend.
"Why did you stutter? Aren't you sure?"
Seungwan was never good in handling things under pressure, and this was one of the things she can't handle too, being doubted for her love for Joohyun. So she's already starting to get speechless and without her noticing, she was now pouting and finally approached Joohyun with an embrace.
"I'm sorry, Joohyun. What should I do to make it up to you?"
Joohyun may be a beast when she's jealous but she could never put an angry front now with this small baby embracing her.
"Seungwan, you shouldn't just give away the wife title to anyone even if you say it's just role playing." She soothingly rubbed her back to tell her it's okay now, the white flag now has been raised.
"But unnie, you know how I am, right? I can't help it when our lovely fans are having fun in expressing their love and support to me in different ways they could. I'm easily carried away by that."
Seungwan calling Joohyun an unnie again, when they have agreed to call each other on a first name basis, just meant that she was really sad and that she's seeking for her comfort and love. With this, Joohyun knew that Seungwan was really feeling bad right now and her heart can't take seeing her like this and it was her fault. But then again, this cycle has been part of their relationship just because they were madly in love with each other. They have talked about it since day 1 before proceeding with their relationship and promised each other not to get tired of each other's flaws with Joohyun being a jealous beast and Seungwan being greasy as her style. They have accepted each other like that, but sometimes Joohyun can't help her emotions and jealousy's getting over her.
"I'm sorry too, Seungwan. I just can't help it. I know how lovely and playful you are, so I'm sorry."
"No, you shouldn't. Just don't doubt my love for you, 'coz it's the realest thing in the world."
"I know, that's why we always have to talk it out like this, right? When I'm blinded again. I just love you way too much, should I lessen it?"
"Yah! As if you can but even if you can, I won't allow that!"
They started swaying each other's body like they were dancing. Both were regaining their happiness and energy again.
"Uh-huh, I can't. Especially now when you're the loveliest and the cutest with your sharming hair cut."
"Oh! You noticed?"
"Of course! I notice everything about you."
"Kyaaa! My real wife swooning over me, that's all that matters!" Seungwan said with sfx which made Joohyun giggle.
They spent a few more minutes swaying each other and get comforted with each other's warmth when Joohyun remembered something.
"Seungwan?"
"Hmmm?"
"It's good to talk about these things and solve it together, right?"
"Yup, like the usual."
"Then... can I ask something?"
"Yup, yup!" Seungwan was ecstatic again, Joohyun was her place to be after all.
"What's with HanDy?"
That's when Seungwan felt her heart stopped again, twice for today. It surely was a looong day~
"U-uhm-" Before she could start blabbing again, Sooyoung came in to the picture. Seungwan was never fond of Sooyoung's whining especially at night, but it became her saving grace now.
"Wendy unnie!!!! How dare you leave me out of your Instagram Live!!! Huwaaaaa!!" Sooyoung went berserk as she approached the two.
Joohyun was startled by the tall woman screaming at the top of her lungs and that made a distance between her and Seungwan. The latter took that opportunity to finally escape this misery from the kitchen.
"YAH! Son Seungwan we're not done yet!!"
"UNNIEEE! I want to use the alien and lemon filters too!!!!"
Escaping was never a good idea, but dealing with two mad women was way too much for Seungwan. Escape was definitely the best solution for this madness!
